The beginnings of the artist

The Egon Schiele Museum was opened on the occasion of his 100th birthday. The museum focuses on the epoch from birth up to the foundation of the own artist group, the "new artist group" in 1909.

Before Egon Schiele died in 1918, he created a hundreds of oil paintings, including 2.000 drawings and watercolours.
